WAAMO Foundation for Social Development: is a nonprofit organization which was founded in September 1st, 2022 by a group of experts with extensive experience in the development sector and humanitarian aid.
Our goal is to transforming the lives of orphaned children in Kismayo, Jubbaland State, Somalia. Established with a vision of building a brighter future, our foundation focuses on providing access to quality education and essential support services to some of the most vulnerable members of society.
This will foster a more inclusive and equitable society. WAFO is committed to addressing critical issues related to Education, protection, gender-based violence (GBV), gender justice, human rights advocacy, food security, livelihood, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), health, peace and conflict resolution, as well as orphaned children as our primary areas of concern
At WAFO, we envision a society where all individuals, especially women and youth, have equal access to their rights and opportunities. Our mission is driven by the belief that education, mentorship, and holistic support are essential in empowering orphaned children to become self-sufficient and engaged members of society.
